Hi, I'm trying my best to trade for my new reefing equipment... so this might sound strange, but hear me out. :)

I'm interested in your Blade.

I have a ton of BestBuy points/credit, so I can easily order anything from BestBuy to ship directly to you (or have it available to you for store pickup) for ~$400 if that's something you're interested in.

I have many R2R users with whom I've done these kinds of deals and could provide references if you'd like. :)

I would order/ship first... I wouldn't expect you to ship until you receive your order.

Couple ways you can verify.
Forst and foremost, never ever ever pay them through unprotected services (venmo, cash app, zelle, ect) always use PayPal goods and services.
Second thing they'll do is try to take you off platform (email them, text them, whatsapp or contact a third party)
Third thing you can do is request a custom pic, ask them to take a pic of item with their user name or something written down next to it, this proves the item exists and they have it in their possession.
If all else fails and you do get scammed, you have PayPal goods and services to fall back on to get your money back.
Lastly if it sounds too good to be true, 99% of the time it is.
if you ever come across anybody who seems like a scammer, report the conversation post that makes it look scammy to the mod team.

Thank you I just posted a picture of our conversation where the gentleman said this is his new account on his new phone because he lost his old phone and it was his old account and he lost his password right there. I knew that was fishy since all you have to do is put in Lost password and you get a link to reset your password.

This is the post from the guy who is new as a Friday who just coincidentally has what I’m looking for since he’s new. I know he can’t post in the marketplace and he gave me some convoluted story as you could see about his old phone and losing his password and this is his new account with his new phone when I know because I’m not stupid all you have to do is put in lost password and you get a link to reset your password on your account no matter what phone or computer you’re using

Well, I think I’ll be skipping this one. I lost my password on my old phone and this is my new account if you lost your password you just put in lost password so you get a new one I guess someone thinks I’m stupid because I’m new..

If you have xtra funds to spend feel free to send them to my cayman account. Don’t worry, I’m totally legit but not that serious. :thinking-face:

Another useful tool is the little “report” button near the bottom of each post. The mods will check out and fix isssues, if you see something say something.

Likely not a scam. Does it seem sketchy, sure, but trading things isn't unheard of. See if they'll give you their references. Or if not interested just let them know :)

Not difficult to do at all.

I like to give them the direct number for the county jail and ask if they can text me a picture of the items and a selfie.

I wouldn’t do business with someone \who just recently joined just to try to sell you something. That’s a huge red flag.

I actually just did a deal with this member, no problems at all :-) He sent me legit BestBuy gift cards, and I’ll be mailing his items tomorrow. I would normally never entertain this kind of thing, but the member has like 17 positive feedbacks from the marketplace, so I took a chance. Worked out for me.
