Hey guys the tank that the Showstopper comes from which is SPS2 is quite on the low maintenance side. I did a video on the system here to show what goes on behind the scene, there really is no secret:
But if there's one thing I'm always a proponent of is to add more big body fish and feed the fish good. They will reward you with colors and growth. Make sure to have good flow when your nutrient is dialed in. Another thing to remember is that targeting a PAR or a lighting spectrum without looking at other factors such as nutrients/bioload is almost futile. No two tanks are alike like fingerprints. So you really have to start looking from within your system and see what your tank likes as everything falls into a balance.
Attached are two grow outs from the tank, photo taken a few days ago, they are sitting elevated from a disk, 3-4" from the surface and getting violent and indirect flow from 10 powerheads in a 96"x36"12"H raceway:
Those that follow me on IG may also know that this is the system with a really grimy sump with a close to 4" detritus bed that is never cleaned.
