i have a 100g with the standard 2 return nozzles. Would it be wise to raise the nozzles closer to the surface so if power goes out it doesn’t flood the sump when it suctions down?
Do they design these sumps to handle it siphoning? Obviously there is plenty of room left for water to fill in inside sump but i don’t know limits

You need to test it.
Put the nozzles at a height that you like, have the water level in the sump where you think it needs to be, then turn off the pump and see where it settles out.
Adjust accordingly.
