I use a DJ power strip with individual switches. This allows me to easily turn off pumps, heaters, lights, etc... as needed without having to fumble around for cords.

I’ve been using these for a little while now. Nice to be able to control the outlets from either the strip itself or via an app on your phone. Bonus that it tracks energy usage:
