And that's $100 AU, right?

Been a minute, havent had much to report about except for the fact im battling dinos i believe they are ostreopsis. Ordered a uv steriliser and a new pump to help battle them. Fingers crossed i dont lose any fish or corals
That stinks!

Are you planning on doing anything else besides the UV filter?

Im looking into methods for treatment, i was reading about putting some dilter floss in a high flow area to capture them as well as a turkey baster to keep them suspended. Also going to try out compete them by dosing silicates and live diatoms

The member who posted that is a respected reefer. I've seen his tanks and the proof is in the pudding.

Thats a really good read, i will have to get some beneficial bacteria too i think. Going to try my hardest to keep this slow and not just nuke my tank but my god are dinos ugly and annoying to deal with.

The filter floss and turkey baster worked great for me in addition to dosing phosphates. I had a small UV running as well.

I think bacteria in a bottle, whatever you can get, is better than none.

Was reading that ostreopsis out competes a lot of beneficial bacteria so its necessary to dose it. Will find some today
