In your case, using powder........ dose @ 2.5 mg/L per gal and keep in mind Powder version of praziquantel is not easily soluable and it often helps to mix your dose in a small amount of ethyl alcohol

You need to know how much water that tank actually holds; Does it have a sump? You need to include that volume then. Does it have rocks and sand that displace some of the water? If so, you should deduct about 15 to 25% of the volume to offset the rock displacement.

Once you know the actual water volume of the tank - the calculation is:

2.2 x gallons / 264 = grams of medication to use. In the case of 520 gallons of water, the dose would be 4.33 grams of pure prazi powder.

The 2.2 number is the dose for prazi in mg/l. The 264 is the conversion factor.

The standard dose is 2.2 mg/l to 2.5 mg/l for 24 hours.

Jay provided a good Prazi thread with all the info needed.

I use Prazicleanse powder, since it's easy to dose to my 20 gallon QT tank.
Each prazicleanse packet contains 190mg of praziquantel, which is enough to treat 20 gallons at the higher 2.5mg/l dosage.

the dosage range is 2.2 to 2.5 mg/l

520 gallons = 1968.4 liters.
the lower dosage of 2.2mg/l = 4.33 grams (as Jay stated above)
the higher dosage of 2.5mg/l = 4.92 grams

I've got 2 fish in QT right now in 2.5ppm copper and just gave them their second dose of Prazi last night.
I've been using the 2.5mg/l dosage of prazi. actually, they've been getting an even higher dosage than that, since I don't fill my QT tank to the very top, I've calculated my QT volume to be 17 gallons, including the volume of my HOB filter. So using the 190mg packets, I've been giving my fish in QT a prazi dosage closer to 2.9mg/l without any issues. prazi is pretty well tolerated.
