Predator Importance of QT

Thanks to Sikryd for helping me figure out my dipping process.

Found 7 of these little f'ers on a zoo rock I bought. It was the very first coral I bought for the new tank, and QT wasn't banging' then. The polyps haven't opened for a few days, so while doing the water change I yanked them and tossed them in the frag tank for further inspection later.
Boy am I glad I did! I did a Revive dip and these little f'ers starting popping off.
Will a iodine dip kill the eggs or do I need to cut those polyps out?

Look closely for the white poka dots in a tight circle, you'll see the eggs.

I know my LFS uses soda water(club soda) and fresh water dips on there zoas. They says its works well with nudi's. I dont know tho Ive never dealt with them before

you have to scrape them off with a razor blade a dip will not kill them..

+1 scrape off the eggs. the dip wont kill them

Did you get rid of the eggs and or Nudi's? I know someone who is desperate to erridicate some Paly's in his tank.

I've used a toothpick to remove eggs before. They stick pretty good, so it ain't easy;).

they eat zoas exclusively! lol... been there.... frag a couple clean heads and throw that out! take it from me, took me months to be rid of them, and i better knock on wood cause they'll be backkkkkk.....................

I guess that explains why the palys of the rock were still open put the zoos were not.

Im not taking any chances. I pitch that little piece and spent a good hour last night with the lights off looking for more of these little buggers.
