Pretty bummed but still grateful

So my system is just about a total loss. I was just allowed back to my house last night and the sight of my tank in the state it is in was devastating. However I am truly grateful that my loved ones are safe and my house is still there and livable. I told my girlfriend during the storm that if I came home to a dead tank I was done with the hobby. However, with all the kind words and offers of frags to restart I had changed my mind. I love this hobby and have made many friends through it. Not sure when it will be but I will be back hopefully bigger and better and if not bigger Definitly better. Thanks again everyone.

I am glad you and your family are safe. I know there are plenty of people that are willing to help you out (including me). Even a few of the sponsors here have offered to help the victims of Sandy. Good luck with the road to rebuilding.

So I spent most of the day breaking down my display. It was pretty upsetting pulling out skeleton after skeleton. It's weird seeing it empty and all the equipment on my kitchen table. At least the smell is gone. I think some zoas may pull through and are in my frag system which didn't take as big a hit. I will be rebuilding but not sure when. Still gotta decide wether to rebuild the my existing tank or get something new. Any suggestions for a 36" tank so I don't have to get new lights? Maybe a 57 rimless?
