I really love looking at equipment setups. It's one of those things I tend to nerd out on. And I'm always impressed when people have sump setups that are so nice they're eye-catching! Anybody else agree?

For example, this one by @Anirban is really nice!!

Sorry just seen this lol
Mine has been running for 3-4 months. The dry side will only look better one the rest of the equipment is added along the way. The wet side I do try to keep clean as I go, but just like all things will eventually not look totally pristine. I mostly took the time to do it for organization and ease of use purposes. For me, if it’s easy, convenient, and organized I’ll be thorough. If it’s a disaster then I will procrastinate.

Thank man. I learned all these here. In my experience simple sump is effective sump. I tried to put least amount of elbows so that waterflow stay high. There are 2 return pumps for redundancy. :)

Ha! Not very pretty 40 breeder. Very basic, skimmer, carx, carbon reactor, filter sock, and return pump, with no baffles but it works, lol.
Heater only for 5-6 months in the winter.
3 liters of eheim substrate pro.
This pic is at 16 months. Very easy to clean too.
