Price for used MP40

Hey all, I’m looking at a used mp40 used for two years on FB. Owner claims it still runs well and quiet. Would you buy it for $250?

A new wetside is going to cost you $125

So $375 is what you are buying for a used MP40 without a warranty

Ok cool. I didn’t know the longevity of these. Didn’t realize I’d have to buy a new wetside. Which is why I came here!

Hard to say, $250 does seem a bit high for a 2 year old pump - but it depends a lot on how well it’s been treated. I routinely get 4-5 years out of a wet side, yet I read about folks having failures after just one. I’ve yet to have a single dry side failure, even in 10 year old pumps, yet I read about people having to replace bearings after just a few.
