Don't know of that one but emperor are great. Pentiar bought emperor I believe just for their sterilizer. They took that emperor unit and redesigned it into their bioshield unit for commercial and residential pools. I own a pool business and install the bioshield and they are really nice. Too bad they are 4'-6' long

For the same price you can get pentair I think. I bought a 120W HO UV for $660 a few months ago.

So are the large pool UV sterilizers basically the same as an aquarium unit?

The Promax 120w looks to be a great deal with the current 20% off deals.

How do you figure out correct flow rates?

Thanks.

Mine showed up today...3 inch amalgam 90 watt version. Interestingly, Marine Depot is no longer offering 20 percent off the pro-max series. I am wondering if it was accidentally marked down.

Nice, I’m still on the fence about adding one.

Does it really help?

It should help with algae and keeping diseases from getting out of control. 90 watts should be pretty good I think. Reading up on the amalgam bulb seems like it will be good. Still need to do a lot of plumbing to add it but the quality looks great.

Nice, did they explain why it went off sale? Now as far pumps? My plan is to split off of my main return line. I am guessing in the 500 gallon per hour range is what it will be.
