Problem with aquaclear filter

So my basket was raised again when I came in the room. I am calling it quits with this filter. I can’t figure out why it is popping up. It has been cleaned a new sponge installed.
I am now looking at the tunze interior filters. My tanks is a 29 gallon tank, less with sand and rocks. Whichone would you recommend the3162 or 3163. The 3162 has max gph of 225 and the 3163 is 475 gph Nano stream. Which would you recommend?

So I rinsed another sponge and popped it in and it is also starting to pop up as well. The the little tabs are keeping it down for now but the water pressure is starting to lift it. It is really odd considering I never had this problem before. The filter has been cleaned spotless inside and all new filter and media.

A small update in this filter. I think the reason it is floating up is because it is trapping air in the sponge. I can see bubbles under the sponge. I don’t know how this happening the sponge has been sufficiently soaked to the point where it sinks in a bucket of water. Somehow air bubbles are building under the sponge and cause it to rise.
