There have been a lot of articles recently that say that corals eat (or benefit) from fish waste. My question is simple, what is an optimal stocking level for my tank? Here are the key stats:

1. 100 gallons total water volume
2. Current fish:
  • 2 Ocellaris clowns
  • 1 Yellow eye Kole tang
  • 1 Flame angel
  • 1 Red stripe angelfish
  • 2 Kaudern cardinal fish
  • 1 Purple firefish
  • 1 Cleaner shrimp
  • 1 Blood red shrimp
Should I be adding fish??? If so, recommendations?

I really don't think that's what they mean, I think it has to do with the algae in the coral absorbing the nitrates produced by the waste. Either way, I wouldn't care about that, because nothing will improve coral growth more than water quality, so understocking is better than overstocking
