Protein skimmer help

I recently bought a Red Sea rsk 600 protein skimmer for my 525 xl tank it’s been almost 3 weeks now of over skimming I’ve got the dial turned down all the way and I’m not dosing, have no chemicals in the tank and I’m not over feeding tank just finished cycling last week and have nothing in it but a pair of clowns live rock and sand if anyone knows a solution it would be greatly appreciated thanks

I would restrict the air .. Sounds like it is still breaking in. MY RO did the same thing it finally broke in and has been fine ever since.

I'd raise the skimmer a little more . Enough so it stops overflowing

Yeah I just feel like 3 weeks is a long break in period

I’ve got it set to the recommended depth but I’ll try raising it some more

Update I raised the skimmer about 1”-1.5” above the recommended level unplugged it let it drain and now it is working perfectly
