Protein skimmer

So I have the nuvo 20 gallon and I've has fish in the tank for 3 weeks now. When should I start using the skimmer?

Also when I test the skimmer it floods my tank with micro bubbles. Is there anyway to prevent that?

Should prob start using now we used ours right away and I'm not sure how to prevent the bubbles ours does it, would like to know too

Having the same microbubble issue. I have a small piece of foam @ the waste gate to collect the water as it comes out - it severely reduces the bubbles in the tank
Hoping its just breakin period and will go away!
