Prototype LED/T5
If your like me LED’s now days are way to expensive. What I wanted was to get T5 fixture with 2 radeons but instead I built my own. Excuse poor cable management as is only a prototype.

Parts
2 48” T5 retrofit 7$ each without ballast
1 dual t5 ballast 60$
4 50w Blue 455nm driverless COB led 30$
2 AC led dimmers. 10$
2 COB Floodlight reflectors pack of 4 25$
1 8bulb t5 fixture frame only (Free)

I think that is a great ghetto design with no disrespect intended.

I think what you have there has amazing potential! If the spectrum coming out of it is decent and can grow corals then I believe you are into a winner.

This might be something worth considering. Cooling is extremely important for long LED life

The spectrum graph you provided looks a little strange. His is a more normal look at one.

What do you mean? Ore5?
Diodes usually exhibit a "bell curve" and relatively narrow for single color emitters..
You are missing the right side of the "bell" completely and really a wide spread in the blue range.

The bluegreen and yellow sharp lines are also odd.
you get sharp lines from atomic emissions but most complex molecules (phosphors coral flourescence) show broad outputs..

lol by all means not trying to cure weather warning but simply an idea what kind of spectrum these lights pull off, yellow line and green I think it might of picked up light from surrounded light.
