Can anyone help me identify these protrusions on one my snails?

Vermetid snails. You should be able to pluck them off at the base with a tweezers.

Dude, you'll need to cut them off, that's if you can't pluck them off.
Here's the problem, they've probably already started to spread.
While many are completely harmless, they’re just ugly.

Also, I see some algae, can you get closer photos of him or the algae, that way we can ID that for you.
Ugh oh no... I'm pretty sure we're getting some hair algae, so we just increased our cleanup crew, but I'm not sure if that's what's on this guy. I tried to get a better picture and then I clipped off the vermertid snails. Thanks for your help!

So true... started my first saltwater tank in July, now have two with a third in the garage waiting to get set up. It's addictive...
