So my friend was breaking down his tank and he gave me his pencil wrasse (pseudojuloides cerasinus/splendid). What's the care on these guys? I'm just wondering because they're so beautiful and cheap in general yet very uncommon. My 100g tank gets fed 10 times a day (due to Moorish Idol) and has sand for it to bury.

I would ask your friend what he was feeding the wrasse beforehand and if they were getting a good feeding response. I don't think you will have much trouble though if you are already keeping a moorish idol, I would think they would be the trickiest fish to feed :)

However, if you have shrimp, they may be in danger. What I've read on pencil wrasses is that they love shrimp and will go after most any available to them. Hermit crabs, small snails, and other small inverts are probably also at risk.
