Purchased as a saved scoly warpaint frag but as it’s grown it definitely has round heads around the bottom each with feeder tentacles. Lights out looked with red flashlight.

Strange scoly or something else?

reminds me of the thing I got sent being told it was a scoly.. definitely was not one of those, not sure what it was but it was one of the first things to perish when the dinos showed up so I never found out...

Was a small frag. Acts like a scoly when it opens up to eat, the flowing shape and babies on side is definitely different than other scolys.

If it was a scoly, the only thing that comes to mind are parascolymia (they ended up being reclassified and I can’t remember the names) which are pretty uncommon.

This makes me think it might be a bower, and a very nice one at that.

Trying to get better photos, I put Goldpods in before taking these, the ball on top is teal, teal veining showing up. I thought I saw feeding response in different places besides the top and babies towards the bottom.

Lights were out and so were the many feeders on this coral. It looks like heads around the bottom. Doesn’t look like any scoly I’ve seen.

Highly doubtful this is a scoly. I’m surprised the vendor made this mistake. How big is this going to get? Night photos using a flashlight.

It looks like it could possibly be Homophyllia bowerbanki, which is a close relative of Australian Scolymia (Homophyllia australis).

The top section looks like a flowy scoly, not a bunch of heads.
