My anemone tentaes are shrinking and falling apart. Will those tentacles regrow. Or do i need to use any medecine
I use 16 watts normal white light as we do not have good lightning option available. And I maintain 26 celsius temperature. The anemones look bleached due to a lack of zooxanthellae algae. They need that algae to stay healthy. What lighting do you have over the tank, what is the water temperature?

Planning to get one light from amazon
I only have 2 options one is hipargero 30 watts light and nicrew classic led marine light. Which one do you suggest.
I have a tank of 120 liters and its a 2 feet tank.
Hi jay,The Nicrew would give a wider cast of light, but really, both of these are pretty weak in terms of lighting for anemones. It is also difficult to "recover" anemones from this bleached state, even with increased light. The Heteractis ritteri especially is unlikely to survive.

Any light recomendation for my tank that i can check in amazon to get. From the pictures you’ve provided and lighting info. This tank is not suitable for a magnifica anemone or even the bubble tips as they are bleaching as well. Bubble tips may be able to survive under the nicrew but I highly doubt the magnifica will.
Hi jay,
Observed some new tentacle like protrudings on my anemone and its is eating well. Used af amino mix and af plankton elixir. Can i hope that it will recover or any other suggestions of care that i need to take.
Yes i am sure it was not in a purple colour when i bhought it. It was transported to me from chennai in INDIA. But he sold it to me by telling its a purple base anemone. Was this anemone white when you got it? Back in the 1980's, in Jakarta, the dealers would hold some of their magnifica anemones in dark tanks for a month to bleach them out and sell them as "white anemones" for more money. These would always die. I wonder if that practice is still taking place?
Jay. I thought it was white but then the seller told it was a pink base anemone
