It’s been a long time since I’ve had a haddoni, my favorite of the anemones. Last one I had was eaten by an MP40. That was a couple years ago. My current reef has no such dangers and has been stable long enough and has more than enough good lighting for one. This guy arrives Saturday. Very excited.

Well... LiveAquaria sent me the wrong carpet. These mistakes NEVER go in my favor, but this time I’m happy. This is the bluest Haddoni I’ve ever seen. I mean pics don’t do it justice. It is beautiful. After years, I still do not understand the pricing of these animals. Pricing is entirely arbitrary, but they had the blues priced at $300 more than purple. This means little except I wanted a blue, but wasn’t gonna pay price.

Mine finally stayed still. Was moving around at one point and stinging corals in its path. My Percs just pound the daylights out of this thing

As you know this will eat your fish. You should definitely remove the box fish ASAP.

I’ve heard all the stories but I’ve never, not once, had a fish eaten by a carpet. I’ve kept them since the mid 80’s. I appreciate the warning/concern.

I contacted LiveAquaria to let them know about mistake. They refunded all my money. One of the nicest Haddoni I’ve seen and I get it for free? Crazy.

So you got this bad boy for FREE???? Now that's customer service. Though I'd tell them to ship it out anyway;) I'd even pay the shipping again:p

I just ordered a green one. How long did you acclimate before putting it into DT?

If you don't mind me asking...... how did you get past the "MP40 dangers" I can't even find covers for my powerheads that aren't crappy looking DIYs.

Wish I had a more satisfying and helpful response, but I switched to Maxspect Gyre. I tried using the mesh covers provided with the MP40, but weren’t substantial enough.
