Have him in Qt and using cupramine. He had a few ich spots and I Qt/treat all new fish anyway. I Test copper with a Hana checker every few days. Fell from .54 to .40 in two days. Do I have to start my 14 days over? I’m 8 days into it and he is starting to show HLLE. I’m really upset about it. I hate to keep him in copper any longer than necessary. My Desjardini looks horrible after Copper but I went 30 days per the sticky QT tread. From now on its 14 and transfer to a clean tank. Live and learn.

Well get it back to min .50 after you are done with this treatment I suggest using copperpower. It’s easer on the fish. You purple will be fine don’t worry about HLLE at the moment. I’m sure once removed from copper you will see a dramatic difference in its color with in 24 hours

Seachem states that the therapeutic level of Cupramine is .35-.50. But that's relying on accurate measurement. How are you measuring the copper level?

Hanna checker.. tested it twice just to make sure. Added Copper and is now at .64. I’ll test it daily now. If it doesn’t drop some tomorrow I may change some water to lower it some. I try to stay between .50 and .60
