QT tank setup

Hello!
After a recent disease outbreak in my tank, i'm setting up a small 10G quarantine tank for medication and for new fish before introducing them to my main tank.
I was wondering if i should add gravel, rock and all those things or if i should keep it simple with just basic equipment and maybe some artificial hiding spots that wont absorb any meds.
For cycling, should i start new or use some filter media from my main tank to speed up the process?

Any advice on what to keep in mind or to look out for is much appreciated:)

no gravel no rock, just a few pvc pipes for them to hide in. Yes, use media from your main tank to cycle the qt tank, sounds like you got it figured out. Get a heater, a small powerhead, and perhaps an air pump or air stone.
