Anyone have 1 to 3 Quanta Atlas laying around that they would be willing to get rid of?

Why not buy them? If it is a stock issue email them and ask for an ETA. If the web portal allows stock notification, sign up for it.

I am excited to try them out, hoping I wont need to add more later on, the tank 96”x36”x24”. I have never had a tank this large before.

You might need 4 of them. I run 2 on a 47 inch tank. Plus two Helix bars on the side.

I can do that, I was afraid they would be too strong running 4, do you have yours on the highest setting?
Oh yes, you will not run them on the highest setting :). I currently have them set to the lowest internal setting (140 watt), and then run them at 70% which will give up to 500 PAR on top, 300 at the unobstructed bottom.

The lowest setting has 500 par at the top? Wow, I think your right 4 might be better. How deep is your tank?

Plus it looks like they are around 12-18” above the water. Thank you! That info is extremely helpful.
I am copying you the email correspondence with Luca, owner of Quanta lights, when I purchased my lights. Hope this helps.

If this were my tank here is my advice on where to go. If it’s wall to wall sps I am going with two atlas with reflectors and two Meso Blue helix mounted 10” off the water line. (10” from bottom of reflector to waterline for atlas). I am hanging the Helix with the included hanging kit.

If it’s a mixed reef I am going with two Atlas without reflectors and two helix. Still 10” off waterline but without the reflector the overall height of the mount is reduced. And I would still put dual Helix Meso Blues on the tank.

I am actually getting the meso blue helix’s this week, found a set for cheap on marketplace that are not very old. I am shooting for a mixed reef but I would rather have the fourth and just turn them down. I have been emailing with Luca, if I can’t find any used that are readily available, then I will have wait till they come back in stock.
