Welcome to Reef2Reef! It is not unusual for a skimmer to over do it while it is in the break in period (this can last a couple of weeks). In the mean time you may want to turn the skimmer down as much as possible and if it is still overflowing then you may want to raise the skimmer so that it is not submerged as much. Additionally, if bubbles continue coming from the bottom then you may also want to recheck to make sure that all of the connections are fully connected. Good luck!

Tom Hanks Hello GIF

Welcome to Reef2Reef! As @Peace River said, there's definitely a break in period for skimmers. I hope you post a build thread for us to follow!

I would leave it to break in for a few days and also check the sump water level is correct. If not it will overflow big time. I have the 160 and 300 versions
