Quarantining- Water changes

Im only getting one blue tang right now.
I am quarantining the guy in 10 gallon (baby tang).
Will be doing copper.

How often should I plan on changing the water (every day? , every 2-3 days?)

Along side, basic CUC inverts, should I set up a small quarantine tank for them? How long? any medications ( I know most will kill CUC inverts)

Is is a micro tank okay for a few snails and hermits? (2-3 gallon with heater + filter).

How often to do water changes: Just do them as needed to deal with possible ammonia issues.

QT inverts: If you are going to QT them, the easiest way is to have them in an invert-only tank for a period of time.

Micro Invert tank: Sure, as long as you are watching parameters, as well as not starving the inverts.

Yes on an as needed basis.
Test Ammonia to determine.
Especially if your treating copper.
Water changes can be a pain as the new water MUST match the old in salinity and copper levels.
Try using a ammonia badge to keep an eye on it.
Also feed them but just the bare minimum only what you know they will eat. Do not let excess food stay in the tank

I never use copper on anything especially the tang group unless I have a reason to medicate.
I do QT for 30 days but only observe and feed high protein diet.
Copper can be hard on tangs.
I would use copper based meds on tangs on in the case of velvet, as it kills fast, say 48-72 hours.
TTM is the best for ick and is easy on the fish.
If your QT is not cycled, (and I have never cycled a QT) then daily 10% WC should be good for one tang.
Make sure to vacuum out uneaten foods.
