Question about Clowns!

I have a 60 cube anemone tank.......I have 3 anemones in it, but only 1 clarki clown.....I was wondering how many different clowns I could add and if so how do I go about doing this since there is already a clown in there! I was debating on getting 1 more clarki and possibly a different pair of clowns.....I didn't know if it would be easier to add some since I have 3 anemones that could be homes for the clowns......Any info would be great! Thanks!

Clarkii'S are pretty aggressive. I don't know how they act around other species of clowns, but I had a heck of a time pairing my big female with a male. It took the smallest male I could find before she would accept him and not try to kill him. He was about 3/4" and she was about 4". After a few years they were both the same size!

Dang!! I have heard the same thing about them! Should I just catch it and keep it in sump and then buy all the clowns I want at one time and then just re add the originally clarki with that group? Or do you think that would still be iffy?

Not likely. Clarkii's, while beautiful, are just not friendly with other clowns. I have a mated pair of Clarkii's and three Ocellaris in my 110 xtra tall. The Clarkii's live on the far left side and the Ocellaris live on the far right. The big female still comes clear across the display on occasion to harass the others. If you add the Clarkii with he others in the display, the Clarkii will probably just get comfortable and then take over. Sound like time for another tank ;-)

hahaha I already have a 180 mixed reef!!! LOL .....my wife would kill me if I got another tank! I love my clarki but I might have to just return it.....but it's the only clown I have ever had that I can just toss some shrimp or whatever in and it goes and gets it and feeds the anemone! I love it!
