My dad is also looking at an aquarium, up to a 180. He is on a crawl space and is curious what kind of reinforcement he may need. He has 2x10 floor joists that are 9' long spaced at 16" apart.

Are the floor joist running parallel or perpendicular to the tank.

a 180 shouldnt need reinforcement if it does your floors needs replacement anyway since ur house is about to cave in lol. if u had like a 300+ i might be worried or look into it
