So I got home from work today and walked past the tank to feed the dog and noticed everything looked awesome. All my Acans were huge and puffy all my mushrooms were huge and the polyp extension on my sps were amazing. A new rainbow Monti frag I received had giant polyps and was very colorful. I was amazed and then I looked at my Icecap 1k the only powerhead I have in my Red Sea reefer 170 and noticed it wasn't spinning. I checked the controller and noticed it had power, I found out I put the end caps back on the wrong way when I put it back together on Wednesday. So for two days the only flow I had in my tank was from my return pump. My question is should I turn my powerhead down or will I run into problems in the future if I do.

You might want to roll it back a bit based on what you noticed when it was off. The potential problem will be with "dead spots" in the tank where you'll see algae & detritus start to accumulate. Try it, if signs of dead spots appear you can always turn it up.
