So I noticed my plate coral edges are falling down a little the tenticals are reaching off to the side

I have only had it a few weeks
Normally the edges of the piece are up high and kind of closed up

is this good or bad?

Considering that you have only had it a few weeks, that it has already started showing this behavior must be neither bad or good. Nice plate. It's probably reaching out to see what the neighborhood is like.
