I have an Inkbird controller for my heater and have a fan hooked to it for cooling. No significant issues with it (had it for over a year) but the software doesn't seem to follow it's own rules very well LOL. Just curious if others have seen this or if I'm confused about how it works.

Settings (I use celsius for tighter control):
SV: 25.3
heating hysteresis temp: .9
cooling back temp: 1.4
high temp: 27
Low temp: 24
refrigeration delay: 1 min

So, unless I am confused (entirely possible LOL), for cooling:

If PV >= SV + cooling back temp, the cooling is activated.
So for current setup and temp:
If 26.3 >= 25.3 + 1.4 then cooling turns on...except it is on and running right now.

Is it just weird? Am I misinterpreting?

Temp set to 25.3 cooling kicks on when temp is greater than 26.7 I think

now I’ll have to go look at mine again
Yes, I'm 98% sure that's what should happen, yet it doesn't LOL. It will kick on earlier than that. It's weird, almost like it's not recognizing changes I've made to the settings over time.

If you just have a fan on it why do you have the delay for refrigeration set?

Oh good grief. I just went into the settings to check the refrigeration delay, and when I exited, the fan kicked back on again. The PV is only 25.7 right now, so nowhere near the 26.7 that should be required to kick on the fan LOL

Right, it kicked in this time at 25.7 not 26.7. Seemingly because I went into the settings, even though I didn't change anything. So weird. Must be a bug.
I’d contact inkbird
