Upon cleaning on my tank due to parasites and infection, would it help before I put the fish in the new tank that has been redone give them a formalin bath, would that cleaned them of any parasites on them so they don’t get into the new Tank

Quarantine any new arrivals going forward and assure even with reset tank fallow for 6 weeks

Formalin baths are not always 100% effective with a single bath.

Also, there is a huge error in dosing formalin out there on the internet - you’ll see “1 ml of formalin per gallon as a bath for one hour”. That is way too high of a dose, it works out to be 250 ppm. For tropical marine fish, the proper dose is 167 ppm. That is 0.60 ml per gallon. Dip the fish for 45 minutes to one hour with good aeration.

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it before, but using formalin inside homes is risky due to human health issues.
