Hello ! This post is concerning a wrasse I’d like to purchase as last addition.

environment:
2x2 60g Cube (planning for 5ft peninsula
Yellow tang, sixline wrasse , 2 clowns

I’d like to purchase a Ornate leopard Wrasse (specifically this guy )

he was eating brine shrimp at the store well, would he eat pellets, arctipods or frozen?

pros & cons? Would there be fighting with him

While it’s not impossible, Six Lines generally don’t play well with other wrasses. If you want other wrasses, there’s a risk the Six Line will become very aggressive towards them. Leopard Wrasses are also one of the harder families of wrasses to adapt to captivity, having a potentially belligerent competitor won’t aid their adjustment and they may never feed.

Beautiful fish but challenging fish that may do well in a very mature tank and an expert reefer keeper.

I think the six-line will not be happy as they compete for the same food source.
Just like my yellow tang fights my clowns for the nori clip haha .

I think when it comes to food with the wrasses I can understand that. My tank is pretty mature even at 5-6 months.
Nems for months, coralline, sponges

i cant think

Even then, remember 2’x2’ isn’t much territory. These guys claim huge territories and without the rockwork, they really tend to become very aggressive.
5-6 months isn’t a very mature tank IMO. These guys need mature tanks of a minimum of 7 months (1 year is best). The reason for this is to build that ample Pod Population.
