Hi folks,

I currently have my equipment plugged into two surge-protected power strips that are plugged into a normal non-GCFI outlet. I have ordered a portable GFCI plug with one socket ()

My question is: If I plug one of my power strips to the GFCI outlet and plug my second power strip to the first power strip, will both power strips be GFCI protected?

Also, should I plug my new ground probe to one of these GFCI-protected power strips, or a normal household outlet?

Sorry for asking such beginner questions and thank you all in advance!

If the first power strip is plugged into the GFCI then it protects every jig downstream of it including any subsequent power strips.

You should plug your grounding probe into your power strip with everything else, otherwise your GFCI may not trip as expected if there is any voltage leak.
