I still rather not name the guy here. I hate that negative he said she said stuff.

I see Paypal ruling for the buyers in about 90% of the time even if they are wrong.

Because you "Mean Well?" 😂

Why would the address from Germany be on the motor component if it was made in China? Not even the Chinese are going to risk getting into this kind of argument if they were knocking these off.

Tim Burton what the heck GIF by O&O, Inc

Unless you advertised that the pump didn't have a Chinese made powersupply?

No, sorry about their feelings but somethings are out of our controllership.

The origin of the powersupply was never in your control when you purchased and resold a "german made" item that came with the same ps you provided the seller. I know PayPal isn't always fair but I hope they surprize you.

He said that since the pump itself doesn't say "Made in Germany" on it. It does however have the street address of the company in Germany on it.
You have the original invoice from reputable retailer.
You have communication directly with Royal Exclusive US rep with confirmation of your German made pump.
Hopefully you have some screenshots the buyer admits the pump says Made in Germany like your quote above.
You actually have a picture of the cable as I outlined in last post prior to sale.
I think s/he's 3 slices of Wonder bread toast. You can call an agent at PP and discuss first and then proceed if you'd like if not resolved between you and buyer before then.

You should not name the person here.

This is overall just a waste of everybody's time and for no good reason (not this thread, but what's about to happen between the buyer and seller).

@KrisReef
Thats a EU requirement. Regardless of where the item is made, in order to sell in the EU, the EU distributor name has to be on it......since these powersupplies are pretty much universal (except for the actual plug) the german distributors/manufacturer is on it. Regardless.....IMO, its buyers remorse.

I'm actually more skeptical of this buyer then you seem to be? I suspect this transaction involves a decent seller (sold and mailed the item as advertised) to a buyer who had a scam in mind before they bought the item.

I know I am not thinking kindly of the buyer, but their actions track well with observed trajectory of the reported transaction. Filing with the PayPal is a known tactic. ToO bad our seller didn't demand a "Friends and Family" payment from this buyer, perhaps?

Again, it's an evil mess that isn't pretty.

I try to keep it honest. I'm just not able to be any other way.

I actually thing he got buyers remorse, because he was having a tank built and the manufacture backed out of the deal. Why I don't know.
It is suspicious

PP sucks for the seller unless you make them huge amounts of money. I had a guy file for a partial refund on an item almost six months after the sale. His excuse was the item had been open. I had images of the item out of the box on the listing so it could be seen and PayPal still sided with him. Lucky for me I had a habit of moving the money out quickly in case something like that happened so my account had $0 balance with no CC on file so PP never got squat from me but they issued the refund.

My pal account shows a negative $887 ( I think) balance. They want me to move money over so they can hold it, but I can't figure out how.

I haven't used them for several years since my incident but they probably want you to use a CC or link your bank account. That doesn't make sense tho because they should have the buyers payment if you didn't withdraw it yet. Or maybe he disputed the charges with his CC company if he used a card to pay?
I used to sell a lot and have shipped high end photography equipment to quite a few countries. I had fun doing it but no longer sell at all because crap like this takes all the fun out of it. Now I give stuff away or throw it on the scrap pile rather than deal with people. Sorry you have to deal with this.

HEre, here, me too!

I do support the OP's silent censure of the buyer. They may have bumped their head and suffering from cranial impact damage and repent when / if they recover. Keeping them anon is good for the board, at least for now. Let's see how it unfolds, hoping for a swift recovery from the buyer and an aborted refund or repayment to the OP?

No reason to burn the barn or lynch the heathen, as much fun as that might seem, but I've seen enough nonsense in the news media recently that doesn't belong here, imo.

For some reason I keep picturing a box with a couple bricks in it.

This thread was more about seeing what people feel I should do about the buyers respose to wanting a refund suddenly.
If and when naming the person comes, I will do feed back there.
