So I do believe I have a quoyi parrotfish. I have had him for over a year now and never really had any problems with him untill recently. He doesn't pick at any corals thankfully but he's become a bully ever since I got a upgrade from 150 to a 300g. All the original fish that were in the 150 gallon and him get along fine to this day but if I add any other fish within a week it's dead, and I'm 90% sure it's him yes there are other fish that can be bullies but nothing like him. Please let me know if anyone has had similar issues I'm going to try to catch him this week. IMG_20211226_175141.jpg IMG_20211121_164203__01.jpg

That’s not a parrot, that’s definitely a thalassoma wrasse. If you think they’re bad wait till you see aggression from a Sohal tang… these fish though are HIGHLY territorial, if you want a different wrasse for colour and pest removal, then best bet is the Halichoeres wrasses. However the thalassoma will have to go unfortunately.

Thalassoma don’t play nicely with lots of other stuff. They should generally be in aggressive tanks with larger fish.

If it were really a Quoyi Parrotfish I’d not keep one. Parrotfish for the most part aren’t well-suited to captivity and most, including the Quoyi, get big.
