My mystery wrasse jumped out despite having a lid. It was in my quarantine tank and was only a week of way from being done. He was extremely healthy and fat.

Didn’t expect he’ll be able to jump out the lid at all. He either jump out from the feeder hole or the little crack.

$135 down the drain . What hurt me the most was that he was healthy and had a lid.

That sucks!

Fish actually swim around at the top looking for holes to jump through... usually at night.
Yeah probably happened at night or it got spooked by my wife. I was at work or else I would’ve caught it

JUST LOL.....

Is your wife that ugly?

I know what you mean, just found the wording kind of funny. Best time for humor is when your hurting.

135$ is a deal, I just paid 175 and waited 2mo for a (tiny) QTd one from Dr Reef that disappeared and (presumed dead) after day 1.

The mystery was once in my dream wrasse list but unfortunately after having experience with them in working in an LFS vanishing and never showing themselves again, I backed off. Such a shame yours jumped…

My guess is disappeared and died in the sand, and cuc took care of the evidence

I won’t buy another one, unless I can find a really large one at a great price

These don’t burrow in the sand however I do believe the CUC took care of the rest of the body. For now, I’ll stick to my pair of Trimma tevegae as they’re similar in colours and just as elusive but active.

Mine was always out waiting for food. I’ve never seen a wrasse this fat before. He had a lot of personalities. I lost a good one
