Hello fellow reefers, let me introduce myself.. I'm Ron from Sunny San Diego and have been in the aquarium hobby since I was was 5 (GEEZ, I feel old). I am on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Marine Aquarium Society and my fingers are always salty. I'm a Marketing and PR professional by day and a creator of Signature Experiences by night. I am ecstatic and looking forward to meeting you at MACNA 2016 in San Diego.
That's basically my life story but if you want to know more, below is my profile.
Ron Luong is a dynamic marketing, social media and public relations expert who has been engaging with professionals through technology for nearly a decade. As co-founder of XO Signature Experience, he draws on his diverse experience in marketing, sales, and business development to create a successful platform for business professionals. His knowledge strives to promote insightful interactions revolving around social awareness, community development, and community revitalization. Through his many years of experience, he seeks to share his expertise with business professionals in the marketing industry. His innovative and unparalleled ability to harness the power of social networks to increase the bottom line has made him a highly sought after marketing expert.
Seasoned with over 15 years of hands on experience, Ron has mastered the technique of successfully building relationships with leaders in the community while managing marketing and public relation accounts. Ron uses his expansive network to empower business professionals with the tools they need to increase clientele and connect with the community.
After a successful career in the night life entertainment industry, Ron ventured into the community relations investment in 2008, when he saw the need to focus on the growing economic and social issues in San Diego within the Asian American community. In 2010 he joined the Little Saigon San Diego Foundation located in City Heights of San Diego which is home to a large demographic of Vietnamese Americans dealing with social economic issues. More than any other area of San Diego County, City Heights is a true melting pot of different ethnic groups; from Hispanic and African American demographic to the Cambodian and Vietnamese demographic, City Heights is a community of immigrants trying to carve out a life in this city. After six years of collaborative and endless work, Frank Vuong who serves as the president of the Little Saigon Foundation, was able to turn the six block stretch of City Heights into Little Saigon San Diego. Ron continues to be involved with the Little Saigon Foundation and their vision to enhance the community that is called home to many Vietnamese Americans.
Before launching XO Signature Experience, Ron attended California State University Fullerton, a world renowned institute for their Business Administration program. Ron and his class were amongst the first to graduate from the CSUF Entrepreneur Program. During his coursework at CSUF, Ron was educated on the key components to successfully launch new businesses both independently and within other companies. He learned how to assess business opportunities, obtain funding for new ventures, operate efficiently and profitably, and build maximum value for estate. His experiences from CSUF prepared him for the hands on, real life experiences which has led to his success in the marketing and public relations industry. To this day, Ron uses his education in Business and Entrepreneurship, innovative ideas, and professional experiences to continue to build a successful foundation for all of his endeavors.
