I have an array of two puck G3 radions over a 7 foot tank.

I am rather unhappy with the wifi setup. I constantly had issues with lights not coming on or going off and kill a few corals where one of the lights failed to go off at all while away. I ended up putting the lights on a timer so this never happened again. The switch is on 30 mins before program and 30 min after they should go off.

Now later on he lights lose the AB+ program and it needs to be reloaded. I am in a way ready to sell them and move on but any suggestions for a reliable system? MH timer on a 24hr light switch lasted 8+ years with no issue.

Anyone seen this issue. Glossy ads and lack of reliability is my opinion here.

I've been using Radions since they first came out and while mine have worked flawlessly I've seen a few issues people have.
Once in a while I see the not coming on as scheduled issue and if I remember right one of the fixes was to disable the buttons on top.

Also I see alot of problems with the reeflink.
Some love em and some hate em.
I've seen no good solutions for them.

Sort of. I moved off the G1 to G3 cheapo chinese ballasts with industiral 36V din rail power supplies. Ecotech provided a 3 pin proprietary connector (dlx type to common dc barrel cable).

I reset all units to factory settings, then reloaded program and disabled user buttons. It has worked for few weeks now. I also do no trust them to go off so also have the power supplies on an apex timer. It is likely why they lose program every few months but no like is better than more dead red planets.

And today 2 of the 4 did not come on. I really need to phase them out. I reloaded blah blah blah. The fact is they are just not reliable. I would prefer and ebay black box.

Can't go wrong with the T5 option.

Says the maker of the: made in USA T5unsystem Dual T5 extruded aluminum fixture with 95% reflective German aluminum reflectors. Uses top rated H.E.P. ballast, all at an affordable price.

Mine work perfectly. I have them connected through the reeflink and use ecosmartlive. The only problems I encounter are generally operator error. I have actually had more issues with the apex.

if you lucky enough to get a good one. I am resetting to factory startting new account. I don't think it is terribly hard, just not stable.

Others say the same thing if you are lucky enough to get a good one.
