I had this Nuvo 15 sitting around for a while and couldn’t pass it up for $99. Finally got around to setting it up (kinda) and had an extra G4 with a RMS mount.

The Nuvo glass is only like 1/4” thick. Is it fine to keep a xr15 mounted to this tank? Obviously don’t want the glass to crack or silicone to split.

If you never bump it. 😓 Is it possible to hang it from the ceiling?

You could always cut like a 12” x12” or whatever size piece of 1/4 - 1/2 inch ply board or get some plexiglass/acylic/glass as something water resistant might be better. Put it on the back side of the glass and put your mount over that. Kinda protect and reinforce the glass.

Thanks good idea!

Depending on the space behind the tank, you could also build a stand alone mount from wood and then it relieves all pressure from your tank walls. Just a thought. Hanging it would also work.

Personally I’d be timid to clamp it alone on a thin glass like that. One bump and it could be bad…
