2 pros and 4 t5 bulbs over 120gal 24" deep at 60% started with 40% raising 5% monthly
SPS mostly I think for better coverage either raise them higher and go up with % or get 120lenses
But keeping them over glass-not a good idea!

I don't understand the issue people have with wires.
To me, a couple thin wires are much less obtrusive than the mount shown above.

Mine were hung with two wires and some thin aluminum bar painted black.

Here's mine...

Mine are 10 inches off the water and I think that's a little low I would say 12 plus. Mine are at 60 percent all blues at 100 and reds and whites at a max of 25%. I have everything from zoas and plates to clams and acros and have saw good growth and colors. In my opinion these lights should have standard 80 degree optics instead of 40.

Also I have mine sideways because it's a bowfront, only 12 inches front to back on the ends so running them like you guys have wouldn't make much sense I wouldn't think.

You're right it doesn't make sense, lol!
The info that you received here is from guys that started out a few years back when radions were the new thing in this hobby, just like you on the moment but after testing with par and looking how corals will do under them they added more radions to it.
That experience from us will only be beneficial for guys like you.
I'm not saying that your tank wouldn't be thriving with only three but time will learn.
Did you hang your lights already?

No I'm not hanging them because it doesn't look good. I have the rms mounts on the way. I'm just trying to gauge if I need more or not which is why I mentioned that you guys obviously have more . They are supposed to have a 24x24 spread so I thought 3 would be enough on a 6ft tank running them sideways. I will check the spread when I get them mounted and see if I need 1 more I guess

With the RMS it will look really awesome.
For the spread and amount of light you get you shouldn't go by what the manufacture of the lights advises.
Go by what your corals are telling you, that's a fact.
Here a link for what I picked up yesterday, great info explained that a lot of newbies can use.
