rainbow BTA wont "bubble up"

I'm not sure if this has been stated but what lighting are you using? I had some under 8x54 t5s and the bra I bought so big and bubbly deflated and went long tentacle style. Down the road I added some leds for supplement and within a few days only, Full on bubble. I feel they need the supplement from the light to get bubbled up.

These are some of mine. Both same distance to the light, same flow, and are both clones. Sometimes they both bubble, sometimes they both are long and stringy, or one is bubbled and the other isn't. Both get fed the same amount at same time. I gave up trying to explain it lol!
