You can also do a different version of this using a basket from a salad spinner from a thrift store, and then zip tying pieces of foam pipe insulation to the sides to keep the top ring buoyant. I've raised everything from RBTA's, GBTA's, LTA's and even the occasional Melu and Sebae anemones.

I have 6 RBTAs in my basket and this weekend I plan on splitting at least two of them mabye 3 or 4. I also will try to get a mini carpet to split.

what you can also do is have 2 tanks and drop the salinity 3 points in the second tank, i have also changed bulbs and that caused them to split
in the above example
have 1 tank at 35ppt
second tank at 32 ppt
you can move in either direction and most likely will induce splitting

It all depends on how much light you have. Here i have a 250W MH 15 inches above the water line. So yes and no depends on lights.

i began one year ago with one and moved over the tank until one powerhead almost killed but survived and right now have 4,the love t5 and mines do not like direct light.the flow is very important too because direct flow stress them well we must learn of our experiences i had to protect the nemms from the power heads ejm ko'ralias that ,now i am using others protected to avoid accidents,i feed mines with shrimps once a week buth one solution to my moving nems could be the basket
