Hi all!

First post here. I picked up this RBTA about two weeks ago. I put it towards the top of the tank, close to the light, and it quickly took refuge in my rocks. It comes out occasionally but isn't looking very healthy. Am I wrong for thinking so? Water parameters are all within range. Should do another round of tests tonight and will post those results, but in the mean time i wanted to post the photo and see if anyone has any tips on how to get this guy looking 100%.

What is all the white stuff?

Thanks!
Cg

How old is the tank? And what kind of lights? They need a fair amount of light.

I think the white is markings - it does look slightly bleached but other than that, it looks pretty good. It's not unusual for nems to take some time to settle in and find a spot they like.

I agree. The white spots are just markings.

White spots are definitely markings, let it settle. if it starts to detach and float around then you have an issue. ive had them take a month prior to coming out

Do you have any idea about the quality of light that it previously came from?

If it was from a dimmer tank, it could possibly be shielding itself from or building up a tolerance to the new level of light. I've seen this with RBTAs and ritteri anemones before.
