Reactor output hose

Where is the best place to put the output hose from an algae reactor that is plumbed off the return line?
Mine currently goes back into the sump before the skimmer, but it got me thinking how much is actually going back into the display or whether it's just going around in circles in my sump.
I know I'm probably over thinking this, but can someone shed some light so my brain can relax lol.

Not a worry. Some water will be recycled yes. Best located to dump out in the return pump chamber.

Even tho my reactor is plumbed into one of the manifolds on the return line?

This is my sump no ats.

If I did have one, the output would be on the chamber to the left.

there is not a exact science to this.

I’m using the bottom manifold off the return to run the pax, you can see the output hose behind the valve handle going back into the old filter sock area.
No science to this but my brains telling me otherwise.

If you are teeing off the return, I would return to the first chamber. Ie the drain from the tank.
