The containers are Brand new just the guy advertises on Craigslist. If they look used or can’t be cleaned with some bleach and vinegar I’ll buy it from where u go urs.
If you are in South Florida try tank depot in pompano. I live in Hollywood and it's a 15 minute drive. They are also open on Saturday. They allow local pick-up.

Waiting on some parts to come in so I can finish this new build for my #SaltwaterMixingStation and tear my old one. Currently, this is what I have UP AND RUNNING for my water changes to make things a little easier on my back.

What quick connects are you using for the hose? Noticed in your video it seemed like you drained the tank with your fill hose as well. What are you using to draw the water out?

Here's my version of a mixing station with two 35 gallon horizontal tanks so they would fit on one of those heavy duty racks from Costco:

This is my set up. 25 gallon tank for RODI, the 40 gallon tank is for mixing up saltwater. Have a pan world ps series pump, for transferring from tank to tank, and to recirculate the saltwater tank. Then I hook up a hose to pump it upstairs to the 93 gallon cube tank. I do a 30 gallon water change every 2 weeks

Here is my brand new setup. It is two 55 gallon Ace tanks I got from the internet. Was like $275-$325 total but I forget. Has my old sicce return to pump rodi into the salt container and a medium flow pump to stir the salt.

I know you can drain your tank with this Marine and RV hose but I haven't figured it out, so I use to remove 10 gallons from my tank I have it marked on my tank with suction cups and use the Pythonon that connected to my sink in my garage. As far as the fitting I am using the Banjo Fitting that I got at BRS. 1/2" Female Thread Cam Lever Quick Connect Adapter - A to 1/2" Male Thread Cam Lever Coupling - B. These Banjo Fitting are a must on a mixing station in my opinion. If you happen to know how to take out the water with the same hose i USE TO add the fresh salt water, please let me know b/c hooking up or siphoning out 10 gallons is a real pain in the butt.

@Sealion wow, that's a crap load of plumbing! Why so much if you don't mind me asking mate? if you would just put your pump between the two storage containers you could have gotten away with all that extra plumbing. If works out for ya then so be it.. Also, if I were you I would ditch the water hose you have in your mixing station! I have heard many horror stories when using a not food grade drinking water hose's. That's why you see a lot of people using the Marine and Rv Food Grade drinking water hose. Actually, there are many articles of a people using a normal green water house like you have and it killed everything in their tank b/c they spray certain chemicals to make those green water hoses and it's is very toxic to your reef tank. Regular green hoses contain lead from the plasticizers used to make them flexible which is very toxic. Back your Mixing station I think you're using way too much plumbing when you can just use a lot fewer ball valves and make your mixing station look like my old mixing station and get the same effect.

I'm not understanding the need for the two check valves? I know what the check valves are for but why on a mixing station? If you run your hose any good length, you're going to want to be able to drain the water back into the tanks.

I have a mixing station and I don't think I've ever seen check valves on any mixing stations.

The cam levers are awesome, works great on mine. I have a 40 ft hose and a three ft hose, the cam levers makes switching between the two hoses a breeze.

@Mike810 - As far as the Spears Check valves I AM only going to be using one 1 of them so there is no cross contamination with the salt getting into my RODI Container, just for more redundancy, does that make sense? When I open up both Cepex ball valves to transfer the RODI water to the salt water barrel and if there is any of salt water in the barrel it can go back into the RODI Container unless you have a check valve.. It's not 100 % needed, i just had them laying around from a old plumb job and I thought i WOULD at least use one of them.
