@Eric Cohen Is the decorative rock shipped to a home address or only to the airport? If shipped to a home address, is it next day or two day delivery? Thank you

I typically use FedEx shipped directly to your door priority overnight. I try to make the shipping labels before the order is packed and send the customer the cost of the shipping. Large orders I can use the airlines airport to airport but for most orders 50 pounds or less the most convenient way is to use FedEx to the door.

@Eric Cohen do you have any photos of people's tanks that have seeded white marco rock with the Australian rock after a little while? A friend of mine decided that he was going to set up a tank too. But to save some money, he will make the rockscape with white marco rock or caribsea rock and seed it with the Australian rock. He just would like to see what that could look like a couple months in. (He doesn't have reef2reef so I'm asking for him)

Visible coralline on the rock within 3 weeks is honestly crazy. But Thanks for sharing the photos! My friend will definitely appreciate this.

Also, I think the Marco rock is a great choice to mix in if you’re going that route.

Not sure what your plans are for your setup, but generally don't need that much rock. Porous, airy Australian live rock, even at 5 lbs is plenty.

But if you plan to use all LR it will be pricey. Maybe Eric can work something out for large order. It's uncommon to encouter premium Indo Pacific LR today at less than $30 per lb, unless its a tank break down or seller looking to move remaining inventory.

One approach is while curing Australian LR you can also place dry rocks in the same holding bin. Basically using the premium LR to seed and season the dry rocks and allow their biome to stabilize. Letting the 'uglies' play itself out.

When well taken care of and not neglected this premium LR can be used to innoculate and seed dry rock with every new system setup. I wouldn't even put these LR in the main display. Once dry rocks are seeded and established, I'd put these LR in a separate holding bin to preserve their micro biome and diversity.

Thank you but, I’m not looking to cycle. I have a well established 700 gal multi-tank system that I’m looking to seed with new life. Primary whatever crustaceans and inverts that are living in the LR. I want to add diversity and yes, I will be buying about 20 lbs.

Update on the rock…..it’s been 6 weeks now without rock. I’m holding out for the nicer rock which comes from an area they don’t collect in too often so just being patient.

I hear ya!!! Was trying to keep it at $30 but costs prohibit it. It also is a good value for volume per pound as I keep the style very light weight to offset the cost. Everything is so dang expensive…..nearly a G just to pay the fees of import.
