I have been planning an upgrade to a custom 6' peninsula; I'd love to trade up!

Love this thread, I have been struggling for 4+ months deciding what to go with on Salt. Have had fresh for over 20 years. Thank you all for posting.

If money was no object. I would love to get 180g tank with a steel stand. But alas I have no room for a tank that large. I’m happy with my 120

I am in fact getting a new tank - ordered a Red Sea 3XL 900 in white and am basically dying for it to arrive - upgrading from my 250! I love my 250 and so when it came time to upgrade I wanted another Red Sea - and we moved to a much larger house so I got a much larger tank, obviously. ;)
Oh, that tank size is my dream tank! Enjoy and congrats!

I have an SCA 150 with internal overflow on order right now! Is it a dreamtank? No, but a dreamtank is just that, to dream about. My dream tank wouldn’t fit in my living room while this one does and it was very affordable! I built the stand myself to save me some money. I think I will be extremely happy with the end result and it fits perfectly in the kitchen/living room while still being a big tank (to me at least)

I picked other. I just upgraded to a new (to me) used tank. Went from a 16 to a 70 gal flat back hex. Which is amazing to me!
I want a brand new tank when I move into my own house. I’m thinking a bow front tank (as big as I can manage) or a peninsula island tank. Depending on the house of course. And maybe a frag grow out tank! Sooo many options and I want them all!

If I had a do over. I would do 2 500g 8ft tanks instead of the 1 800g 10ft tank. I tried to talk my wife into this before, but she didn't go for it....ohh well. More importantly I would do a 20x24 fish room, double what I have now.

Maybe? I just started a new tank this summer after having another one for a year before that. I hated the old tank but I'm pretty happy with the new tank.

I say "maybe" because I wonder if I should have gone with the IM 50 Ext instead of the AIO. In other words, if I was to get a new tank it would be almost the same tank! I really like the size and the shape. I like the simplicity of the AIO. But the 50 Ext dedicates the whole space to display instead of splitting part off for equipment and filtration. And having a proper sump opens up a lot more options. But that's also a lot more complicated and can become a lot more expensive. I debated a long time before finally choosing the AIO. I'm still not sure. So maybe.

I still like my tank.

60x24x22 ~130g Reef Savvy w/ Ghost overflow, armored seams, Eurobraced, Phantom bottom - and a Brink's truck to carry all my money to Felix. I'm 51 now and I want to still be enjoying *this* tank on my 100th birthday.

9mos is a bit of a wait - but it gives me time to plan + plan + plan.

I picked up a new IM INT112 this year and I am very happy with it. If I had more room I would love a 5ft x 5ft x 20in tank.

I would like a 180 or 220 with a nice sump to go with it. I would put it in the living room and get rid of the couch. I wish I had the money to do it.
