When I was younger I kept wanting bigger and bigger SW/reef tanks. I started with a 40 gallon XH back in the 80s/90s. From there I went to a 100 gallon and there to a 125 or 150 (I can't remember) with a 70 gallon sump. What I learned from that is big is not always better. It means more maintenance and more money (the 2nd one exponentially, LOL)! I now have a 56 gallon column tank with a 30 gallon fuge/20 gallon sump in the basement. It is absolutely wonderful after having it almost 5 years and I have no plans of changing.Assuming that I owned a home spacious enough to install a wishful thinking concept, I would settle for 1000 gallon Salt Reef.
That said, I am very happy with my 55 gallon high as my first attempt on a Reef build
