Just read through your whole thread. Wow, what a beautiful reef! The colors nd placement of those colors really look stunning. I love all of the negative space and as your corals have grown and filled out your islands it just perfect. Had to let you know how impressed I am!

Thanks Adam!
I really appreciate!

Yesterday I added a melanurus to my tank.
And my fish list is closer to get complete....
That is a gorgeous wrasse.
Do you get them quarantined from the local fish store or do you have a setup at home?

This particular fish I got "quarentined" from a LFS. It was there for the last 4 months...

Today I disassembled my two Icecap 3000 for cleaning.

My conclusion about them: they are noisy ..... LOUD.....and....... NOISY.

I have 2 Gyre XF 250 working nearby and, for comparison, they move more water and make less noise.

When cleaned, the Icecap 3000 are as noisier as the Gyre. But it needs get a little dirtier, even if not working at maximum power, to make a loud noise. That really bothers.

I usually leave the Gyre running in continuous mode with 100% power.
Icecap works in ramdom mode and I need to leave it at a maximum of 70% of the power and even then the noise bothers.

I do not know if the newer versions are less noisy.
Mine, unfortunately, is not.

Good to know.
Is there any mechanical difference in design between the two manufacturers?

No big one, as far as I noted.

Great coral.
I have the same which seems to grow very slow, but happily.
Do you have it high/low flow and lights?

High light/flow....
It came brownish, a month ago, and I can see a very good change untill now....
